Dr. Who?

Doc McStuffins has become a medical icon for kids, as her character displays one of a doctor. We know how kids hate to visit the doctor especially when they need to be treated with an injection and to swallow liquid medication that taste awful. It was reported that this educational TV series for kids is seen as a healthy way of teaching and helping kids. I must admit it works, and the check up song is very 'catchy' and you can prepare your kids for a great doctor visit. So please view the videos or be programmed to the TV series.

Kids and Social media

Does this look familiar? Well it brings me back to when I was about that age, all I ever had was a doll or maybe some imaginary friend. With the technological boom kids have grown into using the smartphones and internet by age of two, even if so old. It's like "wow", look what we have done. We no longer have face to face conversations but we message each other via text whilst sitting around a table saying "this food sucks!!"  Our kids are now are a generation that is growing rapidly therefore social media is best communication channel best suited for them. Social media platforms creates attention, a space for their voices to be heard , for views and comments about experiences to be voiced and for someone to give their opinion. Would you create this environment for your kid?

Fashionistas!! Kiddie Styles

Kids turn into fashionistas!

Kids can be a little overbearing when they change from infancy to toddler, because the infant you once selected cute clothing for throws a tantrum when they become a toddler as they want to pick their own pants and shirts.. they have become their own stylist. So is it that we place their clothing out before they decide to get their own? or can we create a uniform for them? I think we should follow some of their instincts as their choices are sometimes better than ours.

Wow Dads

This blog is dedicated to the single dads who had and are having a the "time" of their lives. There are some dads who deserve credit for the fabulous job they display towards their kids and for their dedication and commitment similar to what we call a "motherly love" for their precious little ones. Dads you are wonderful, respected and loved for sacrificing your life, dealing with those angers, struggles and having understanding. You are awesome!!

Mum-aholics...Huh?

So this is how we mums do it. After a few years of menial house chores, office jobs, school and some social events we can be called "Superwoman." This has become a daily mantra for most women. There are days that you can pull all your hair out when you have to pick the kids up from school, get groceries, do laundry, cook etc. Then the excuses of being busy becomes an issue; "I am so sorry, I had this and that to do."

The question remains if you are a "Mum-aholic"?
