Obesity is a chronic disease that requires lifelong attention to healthy eating and active lifestyles. This is a contributor to the development of serious diseases like Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, Heart Diseases and Cancer. Obese children are more prone to low self- esteem, depression and substance abuse, eating and sleeping disorders.

Tips for overweight children’s weight loss:

2.       Prepare more meals at home
3.       Limit amount of TV, computer and video games
4.       Go for walks, hikes, ride bikes

  2. I as a father will cook everyday and include vegetables and fruits but my daughter will leave the food home and eat what they provide in school's cafeteria. My son will eat the food I cook but tends to go for the meat mostly. Providing the healthy food is easy, getting them to eat the healthy food is harder.
